Sprite is a member of the Eternals, a race of powerful beings created by the Celestials. Unlike most Eternals who are physically mature, Sprite is eternally trapped in the body of a child, despite being thousands of years old. This youthful appearance is a significant source of frustration for the character.

Known for their mischievous and playful nature, Sprite possesses the standard Eternal powers, including superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy. However, Sprite is particularly skilled in illusion and reality warping, often using these powers for pranks or to subtly influence events.

In various storylines, Sprite's resentment over their unchanging form has led them to betray the Eternals and manipulate events to try and gain a mortal life. This desire for change and experience often places them in conflict with their fellow Eternals and makes them a complex and unpredictable character.
